In Bedugul, Candikuning village area, the landscape remains natural, unspoiled. In the area the are some exciting places to visit. The Botanical Garden is located at 1250 - 1450 M about sea level. Being this high about the sea explain why Bali's usual tropical climate doesn't reach this area. During the daytime the temperature is around 17 - 25^C and as the evening falls the temperature also falls to a cool 10 - 15^C. The climate remains this way almost all the year around, complete with fogs in the mornings and evenings, or even mists during the rainy season - the water in this area is unpredictable. So arm yourself with warm clothes and umbrella or a raincoat.
Another exciting piece of nature in the area is lake Bratan. Lake Bratan receives thousand of visitors every year. The Bratan Ulun Danu Temple a shrine built to look like it's floating in the lake is one of it's main attractions. Other activities offered are lake tours on a canoe, fishing, jet skiing, water skiing, and more.
Strawberry  and vegetable farming by the lake are other reasons for visitors to come.
