The central region of Bali is particularly rich culture and history, and renowned for art, crafts, and performance. Many village and monuments of interest are located on the routes between the coast and the slopes of Gunung Batur.

Ubud Monkey Forest
While there are a number of sacred temple around Bali inhabited by monkeys, the sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud is probably the best know. Within you will find three temples, the fist and most well - know is the site of Padang Tegal's Pura Dalem (death temple) the other to temple included Padang Tegal's holy bathing temple and Pura Prajapati (funerary or cremation temple).
These temples are part of the traditional village structures and local village members believe that it is their responsibility to and ensure these temple are maintained.
Religious ceremonies are conducted here whenever a deceased person is buried, exhumed, or prepared for cremation within the sacred Monkey Forest. While death is an important aspect of Hinduism, life is also celebrate and the sacred Monkey Forest is the site of to special Balinese Hindu ceremonies, the Tumpek Kandang where village make special offerings to the monkeys and animals and the Tumpek Ngunduh where plants are celebrated.


The Majesty Of Uluwatu Temple

A cliffside path leads to a breathtaking  vista of sheer cliffs and dramatics coastline, and one of Bali 'oldest and most historic temples'.
The expense of the southwest  coastline, 250 feet about the Indian ocean, is spectacularly laid out as far as the eye can see. It appears as if the entire ocean is having deep, beautiful breaths as it rolls into the sandy beaches and rocky outcrops below.
Uluwatu is home to Betara Rudra, god of the elements and cosmic forces. This unique temple, dedicated to the spirits of the sea, is perched high on the clifftop opposite endless Bali sunsets. The Uluwatu Temple is one of the oldest temples in Bali, carved from black coral rock and dating back to the 10th century.
The temple itself  exudes the hunting authenticity of ages past, and has been added to many times offer the centuries. It was originally built by famed Hindu Priest Empu Kuturan, responsible for the construction of many of Bali's most sacred temples. East Javanese  architectural influence is apparent in the winged guardian gate at the center of the three courtyards.
To fully appreciate the location, it's based to time your visit in the late afternoon, around 40:00pm, and capture the majesty of the spectacular sky as the sunsets over the sea. And energetic Kecak performance takes place at 06:00 pm with an entrance fee of around Rp. 100.000.
It's arguble that of all Bali's temples,  Uluwatu Temple leaves you with the strongest impression that you've experienced something very special.


Tanah Lot Temple

Tanah Lot means land in the middle of the sea, it's location at Tabanan regency around 33km from Denpasar. The temple boasts one of Bali's best sport for sunset watching. The temple comfort sites on top a huge rock and is considered to be one of the most sacred places in Bali. It's access is reserved for those undergoing pilgrimage, it's not accessible to visitors. However, superb views of the temple are backed by the glowing sunset and can be seen from so many beautiful spots nearby. During the high tide the rocky is land and the main land are separated by water. Therefore, boat riding is the best way for pilgrimages to reach the temple.

Kintamani Volcano

Kintamani is one of the most popular destination for visitors to Bali, particularly renowned for it's view of the volcano within the caldera of Batur mountain, the most active volcano on the island. Batur mountain has had significant eruption more then twenty times in the last 200 years. As are result of this, the slopes of the volcano are bare and dry, in contrast with the lush vegetation of it's surrounding. A long with Penelokan and Batur, Kintamni is one of three small village on the caldera's  rim. The Bali Aga Village of Trunyan is downon the shore of the lake, and Abang Mountain can be seen on the eastern side of the lake facing Batur Mountain.
