Penebel is one of Bali's hidden beauties situated in Tabanan Regency. Penebel is known as Bali's Rice Bowl, funnily enough it is cocoa producing area. The colors of the scenery, the mixing of the green and yellowish rice field terraces are a sight for sore eyes as you come upon the first village in the Penebel district. The sight only become more stunning when you reach the summit of Jatiluwih. There you will view one of the most impressive waterways in Bali, an irrigation called Subak. Imagine yourself out of your car and immersed within the breathtaking scenery all around you. Some warung (food stalls) line the road side, an excellent spot to admire the view while enjoying a cup of hot beverage and hot banana fritters.
